Group Psychological Support Program for Women Affected by War
A joint initiative of the Olena Pinchuk Foundation and the NGO “Institute of Process-Oriented Work in Ukraine”, with scientific and methodological support provided by the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of Ukraine.
For Ukrainian women who have been indirectly impacted by the devastating consequences of war and are living under ongoing emotional stress.

Please note that participation in REGENERATION is not recommended for individuals who are currently in the acute aftermath of a traumatic experience, as the program is primarily delivered through online group sessions

preventing the development of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) caused by prolonged exposure to war-related stress;

DURATION:
HOW THE
WORKS
PROGRAM
2 MONTHS
15 SESSIONS / 1.5 HOURS EACH
FORMAT:
Online groups of up to 30 participants via Zoom, facilitated by two specialists.
SCHEDULE:
Two sessions per week. The schedule is determined before the start of the program in coordination with the facilitators of your group.

This helps participants track changes in their emotional well-being over time and better understand the program’s effectiveness.
As part of the program, participants complete psychological assessments at several stages:
Answers to participants’ questions from specialists
Practical self-regulation exercises for stressful situations
Professional guidance and recommendations
Group sharing and discussion
ASSESSMENT:
Assessments are conducted through the Healthy Mind platform — an innovative digital solution designed to support mental well-being through comprehensive psychological screening. The platform identifies over 95% of common psycho-emotional conditions (based on DSM-5 classifications, including disorders that can be self-reported).
Average completion time: up to 8 minutes. Participants receive detailed insights into different areas of their mental well-being, along with personalized recommendations for self-care and emotional support.

Former President of the IAPOP (International Association of Process-Oriented Psychology).
Mentor of the IAPOP diploma program, psychologist, facilitator, conflict resolution specialist, curator, and educator.
Actively involved in research on the effectiveness of counseling in the areas of grief, loss, and trauma, and provides professional consultation across a wide range of fields.

Author of more than ten books covering a wide range of topics for both mental health professionals and individuals interested in personal growth and inner development.
Much of his professional career has been devoted to working with people affected by military conflicts, including the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. He is the founder of the “Stories of Peace” initiative, dedicated to supporting civilian populations in conflict zones.

Lawyer and human rights advocate, Diplomate in Process-Oriented Psychology with more than 20 years of professional experience.
Co-founder and Director of Fil a l’Agulla, an organization that works with schools, government institutions, community organizations, businesses, local communities, individuals, and couples to facilitate change processes, particularly during times of crisis.
The organization successfully applies process-oriented methods to issues of gender equality, justice, conflict resolution, and collective systems support.

PhD, Diplomate in Process-Oriented Psychology, psychologist, psychotherapist, trauma therapist, educator, and supervisor with more than 25 years of professional experience.
She has extensive experience working with panic attacks and has dedicated much of her professional career to addressing issues related to racism, xenophobia, and homophobia.
Following the 2005 London bombings, she worked with affected communities and has continued to support refugees in refugee camps, helping them cope with psychological challenges and adapt to difficult circumstances.

Psychodrama therapist who works with individuals and groups and serves as an educator in adult learning programs in Greece and internationally.
She collaborates with universities, foundations, and non-governmental organizations, and actively supports community theater projects involving marginalized groups.
Co-founder of the Social Theater Dialogue initiative. She provides training for educators working with refugee and migrant students at institutions including the University of Athens, the Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus, and public schools in Athens and on the Greek island of Lesbos.

In 2025–2026, a study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the REGENERATION group psychological support program among women affected by war.
The findings demonstrated significant improvements in participants’ psycho-emotional well-being in both online and in-person groups.
Regeneration — is a psychological support program whose effectiveness is supported not only by participant outcomes, but also by academic research.
The study was funded by the Olena Pinchuk Foundation. Organizational support was provided by the Hryhorii Skovoroda Institute of Process-Oriented Work in Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine. Academic support was provided by the Institute for Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the Healthy Mind project.
The research protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Institute for Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (Approval No. 9-IH042025, 2025). All participants provided informed consent.
